GATE 2021 Exam Dates, Eligibility Criteria, Application Procedure, Exam Pattern, Syllabus and Result

 

GATE 2021

GATE 2021 is the National Level Examination conducted by the Indian Institute of Information Technology, Bombay for the admission in various post graduate course as well as for the direct admission in PHD programs. Candidates can take the admission in IITs (Bombay, Guwahati, Delhi, Madras, Roorkee, Kharagpur, Kanpur) and Indian Institute for Science, Bangalore with qualifying this examination.

IIT Bombay has released the notification for the Application Form of GATE 2021 from the month of September, 2020. Candidates who take to take the admission in post graduate engineering and science courses through GATE 2021 will be able to apply the application form when it will be available on the official website of the institution. GATE 2021: - Eligibility Criteria

The Eligibility Criteria of GATE 2021 has been released by the IIT Bombay for the candidates. Candidates who satisfy the eligibility criteria for the examination will be able to apply the application form. After the release of the notification for GATE 2021, the institution has provided relaxation in the eligibility criteria for the candidates. The institution has relaxed the minimum eligibility from 10+2+4 to 10+2+3.

According to relaxation, candidates pursing in the final year of the required minimum degree will be able to apply and give the examination. Except this relaxation, all of previous eligibility terms are similar for the candidates. Any of the candidate found not eligible during the examination, the institution will cancel the candidature of candidate without any prior notification.

GATE 2021: - Application Procedure

The Application Form of the GATE 2021 will be available from September 14, 2020 as per notification issued by the institution. The application form will be available in the Online Mode only on the official website of the institution.  Candidates can check the steps to fill the Online Application Form of GATE 2021 here:

•  Candidates have to register themselves first to fill the Online Application Form on the official website of the Institution.
• Candidates should go to the official website: http://www.iitb.ac.in/ and do the registration after filling all of mandatory  details i.e. name, email or mobile number and contact details etc.
• After the successful registration, Candidates will get the Login Id and password by which the candidates will fill the application form after login into their account.
• Candidates have to fill their personal and academic details to completely fill the application form.
• Candidates’ passport size photograph and other educational documents will be uploaded in the document upload section of the application form.
•  After the final submission of the application form, candidates will be redirected to application form fee payment.
•  Candidates of general category have to pay Rs. 1500 and other category candidates as well as female candidates have to pay Rs. 750 for the Application Form of GATE 2021.
• When the payment of the application form is successfully done, candidates have to take the print of the final application form and keep it safe for the future reference.

GATE 2021: Exam Pattern  

The Exam Pattern of GATE 2021 includes Number and types of the questions the paper will contain as well as the marking scheme of the exam. Candidates must be well aware about the exam pattern because it will help them in the preparation of the exam. Some of the important terms of the GATE 2021 Exam Pattern are as follows:

• There will be Multiple Choice Questions in the Examination.
• The Exam duration will be of 3 Hours.
• The exam will be conducted in the Online Mode Only.
• The exam will be conducted in 27 subjects.
• General Aptitude will be the common section for all subject candidates.
• Each question in the exam will be of 2 marks each.

The institution has increased 2 subjects in the latest Exam Pattern of GATE 2021. The newly added subjects of GATE 2021 are: Environmental Science and Engineering, Humanities and Social Science.

 

GATE 2021: - Result

GATE 2021 Result will be declared in the month of March, 2021 after the successful completion of the examination. As per notification released by the Institution, Candidates will be able to check their result in the Online mode when it will be available on the Official website of the Institution.
